When you open a recipe imported from the web, the original recipe page is shown as it is, so that visits reach the people who create the recipes.
The web page image is shown only when both of these are true:
There are two ways to turn it on:
Images saved for offline viewing are stored only on your device, not on our servers.
When you open a recipe imported from the web, the original recipe page is shown as it is. Any ads inside that page are served by the original website, not by Recipe Note.
Pages with special content such as videos and advertisements may not be saved correctly. When the save screen appears, try the following:
Depending on the site, automatic ingredient import may not be supported. Please wait for the target website to be supported.
For sites that require signing in to view posts, such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), you can import recipes after signing in to that site on the import screen inside the app.
Recipes you create with the camera or from photos on your device (photographed recipes) can hold the number of pages below, depending on your plan. A two-page spread in a cookbook can be kept as a single recipe.
| Plan | Pages per photographed recipe |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 page |
| Basic | Up to 3 pages |
| Premium | Up to 10 pages |
Recipes imported from the web stay at 1 page on every plan. This is because the original recipe page is shown as it is when you open them.
Tapping "+" once you have reached the limit opens the plan information.
Pages you have already saved are never deleted. Only adding more pages is blocked — replacing, deleting, reordering and editing existing pages keep working as before.
Yes. Once you create an account and sign in, your recipes, ingredients, notes, tags, cooking days, and images are saved to the cloud automatically and kept in sync at all times. You do not need to run a backup manually.
Syncing happens automatically at these times:
You can keep editing while offline. Your changes are saved on your device and sent to the cloud automatically once your connection is restored.
When you switch devices, simply sign in to the same account on the new device to restore your data. Cloud storage for images is available on all plans (Free, Basic, and Premium).
If you use the app without signing in, your data is stored only on your device. It is not saved to the cloud, so if you uninstall the app or lose or replace your device, your data will be lost and cannot be recovered. We recommend creating an account to keep your data safe.
On the Free plan, if you do not use the app for one year (365 days) after your last use, your account and your server-side data (including recipes and images) are deleted automatically.
If you do not plan to use the app for a long period, we recommend backing up to Google Drive beforehand. Backups stored in Google Drive are not affected by this automatic deletion.
You can use the backup function using Google Drive. Make sure that the backup destination Google Drive has enough space to store the recipe data, and then back up. You can check the data size from your device's app info screen.
Only with a Google Drive backup. Web page images saved for offline viewing exist only on your device and are not stored on our servers, so back up to Google Drive from "Backup / Restore" on My Page before you change or lose your device.
It is saved in the storage location dedicated to RECIPE NOTE of Google Drive. The saved data is hidden and cannot be viewed. You can only view and delete the stored data size. Please refer to the procedure below.
Please follow the steps below.
You can delete your account and all of your server-side data from within the Recipe Note app.
Once you delete your account, you can no longer use it, but your server-side data is retained for 30 days. You can restore your account during this period. If you deleted your account by mistake, contact us at makitsystem@gmail.com with your registered email address.
After 30 days, all of your server-side data is permanently deleted and can no longer be restored.
Active subscriptions on App Store or Google Play are NOT automatically cancelled. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first from the subscription management screen of each store. You can delete your account after the cancellation status is reflected.
If you are unable to delete your account from within the app, please contact us at makitsystem@gmail.com with the following information:
We will process your deletion request within 7 business days of receiving it and send a confirmation email to your registered address. After that, the same 30-day grace period applies as when you delete your account from within the app, and your server-side data is permanently deleted once it has elapsed.
